Join me in supporting Free Bikes 4 Kids
I have been working at Allina Health for a little over 3 years now and my wife has been for longer. I was introduced to the Free Bikes 4 Kids program through her volunteering for the event where we collect new and used bikes from the community to donate and give to kids who need them. Thinking back to when I learned to ride a bike it was the first taste of freedom I was able to experience. Now that I've gotten back into cycling I'm getting that same feeling.
This mission is important to me because I'm seeing through my own children, as well as others, that the default activity for a lot of kids involves some kind of a screen. While that may just be a sign of the times I don't think it's an advancement per se. My dream would be to see more kids able to get out on their bikes with friends to ride to the park or the mall or the movies like I did. That's why I'm doing this fundraiser.
